Peggy's Cove

We are into lighthouses. We especially like to photograph lighthouses. Peggy's Light at Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia is one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world. I had been wanting to visit this place for years. As this was to be one of our signature stops, we saved it for near the end of the trip. We also allowed two days, hoping to catch good lighting We were blessed with perfect weather, as we arrived on the first of the two days about 9:30am. We proceded to take a few pictures and then the crowds started to arrive. There were busloads of people. Then an accordian player plopped herself down in front of the lighthouse and began playing song after song. We soon gave up and vowed to return early the next day. Fortunately, we were presented with a second perfect day when we arrived, this time at 6:45am. Here are some of our photos of the lighthouse and fishing village at Peggy's Cove:
