Abilene

In Alilene, we visited the downtown Everman Park. With a series of 24 sculptures of storybook characters, Abilene is the story book capital of Texas. It started with "Childhoods Great Adventure" by Rick Jackson which celebrates the story of Abilene children depicted the the book Santa Calls by William Joyce. There are 6 sculptures of Dr. Seuss characters in the park.
