Canada
During our 2011 trip to Canada's Atlantic provinces we visited several Acadian sites, ate lots of seafood and tried to capture the beauty of this wonderful place in photos. This section will concentrate on the scenery. Other entries will deal with the Acadian Culture and our meals.
Nova Scotia

Nova Scotia is a photographers dream. From the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton to the fishing villages along the coast there are photo ops everwhere. We had two nights lodging at Laurie's Motor Inn in Cheticamp and three nights at the Residence Inn in Halifax. Click on the photo at left for some scenes of Nova Scotia.
New Brunswick

We originanly were going to stay on the TransCanada Highway and just drive across New Brunswick, but a stop at the Aulac, NB visitor center convinced us to detour along the south coast and then follow the St. Johns river to our Grand Falls destination. We were glad that we took the scenic route. Click on the photo for scenes of New Brunswick.
Prince Edward Island

It is only a 3 hour drive from one end of PEI to the other. We stayed in the center of the island at "The Inn at the Pier" in Stanley Bridge. For scenes of PEI, please click on the above photo.
