Playa Bonita
The first three days of our Panama trip was spent in Panama City. The rest of the week was at the, all expenses covered, Westin Playa Bonita.
This beach resort had several swimming pools, many restaurants and bars.
Each day we would walk the beach, relax by the pool and have lunch delivered.
Our room had a view of the pools and the ocean. From our balcony we could have our cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. A couple of nights they had entertainment that we could enjoy from the comfort of our balcony.
Below are views from our balcony. In the distance, you can just make out the many ships awaiting passage through the Panama Canal.

One morning during our walk at low tide, a young man was pounding on rocks with a hammer. After a few minutes of observing, we realized that he was collecting oysters. Here are a couple of photos of his endeavors.
