Tangier to Chefchaouen

Arrival at the Tangier airport was on time at 12:45PM. First item was to get some Moroccan currency ($100US for 933.79 dirhams).   After collecting our luggage we met our guide - Nour Eddine.

During the 2 hour drive from Tangier to Chefchaouen we made two stops, 1) to have lunch and 2)  for roadside  shopping.

Lunch was at this restaurant overlooking the reservoir, Sed En Nakhla in Tetouan, Morocco.  We enjoyed a wonderful meal made in Tajines.  The setting was just as wonderful as the food.  

After lunch we had to have our own Tajine, so Nour Eddine stopped at this roadside shop.  Here you see us watching as the shopkeeper wraps up our purchase.
